Seth Resnick loves wine. When he and I formed Digital Photo Destinations, I knew there’d be a significant budget allocated for wine and thus I’d learn a lot more about it. I’ve learned everything I know about wine from Seth Resnick, Greg Gorman, and George Jardine, and through their appreciation of it gained a much greater appreciation for it myself.
When we arrived at Quelhue wine shop in Ushuaia for the fourth time, a big smile came across the manager / vintner Mercedes’ face. Our other visits were notable for their excess. During this visit, she pulled out a sheet of photographs of our previous visits.
Seth found many of the region’s well-known Malbecs and even more amazing Tempranillos, as well as a good reserve section of wines from the region. I like my wine like I like my people, full of character. I bought some relatively inexpensive varietals – Carmenere, Tannat, Caladoc, Bonarda, etc. Plus, my favorite scotch, Caol Isla.
Amazing adventures with fabulous friends always go better with fine spirits.
